what makes the “So you like cats” line so perfect is the fact that Sam is
literally the only character who doesn’t even acknowledge T’Challa’s royalty
status, not even once.

He knows, and gives literally zero fucks, and not just
that, indifference, but he actually goes ahead and makes fun of him, and only
shuts up because Steve “scolds” him (and even then he tries to tease him even
further). Sam might as well be the first person who’s treated T’Challa like a
normal person, and he also would give T’Challa so much shit… of course T’Challa
would fall in love with him. ❤
